Best Fort Wayne Lawn Equipment Dealer
We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who voted for us in the Fort Wayne Newspapers Reader’s Choice Awards. For the 5th year in a row, Crescent Avenue Gardens was named Best Lawn Equipment Dealer in Fort Wayne in the home category. We definitely have the BEST customers, and are happy to know you feel the same about us!
Congratulations to all of the Reader’s Choice winners including our friends at Busch Chiropractic.
Below is our article as it appeared in the Reader’s Choice supplement in the Journal Gazette.
Service is priority at Crescent Avenue Gardens
When it comes to yard and lawn equipment, Crescent Avenue Gardens is on the cutting edge. Exceptional sales and service have earned them the top spot in the Readers’ Choice Home-Lawn
Equipment category for the past five years.
“We’re a locally owned and operated company, founded in 1959,” said longtime employee Gayle Shuster. “At Crescent Avenue Gardens, service is our profession, not a sideline.”
Raymond Karst founded the North Side neighborhood icon as a nursery and landscaping
business. There are now 10 employees, including Karst’s son and current owner Gary Karst. They combine more than 150 years of service.
Crescent Avenue Gardens is a one-stop destination for seasonal equipment, regardless
of how small or large your yard. In addition to Toro products –– push and riding lawn mowers, Zero Turn mowers and snow blowers –– they offer leaf blowers and outdoor vacuums that make short work of ridding your yard of autumn leaves and debris.
They also specialize in Stihl trimmers, chain saws, hand-held and backpack sprayers and
backpack blowers and tillers, while offering a complete line of parts and service for Toro and Stihl products.
Shuster notes that in spring 2015, Toro introduced its Model 20353, a 22-inch personal
pace all-wheel drive recycler mower. Front and rear wheels engage independently, distributing traction when and where needed. A Briggs & Stratton ReadyStart engine ensures an easy start with no choking or priming.
Dreading winter? Removing snow from concrete and asphalt surfaces will be nearly effortless with the new Toro SnowMaster snow blower scheduled for fall delivery. Available in three personal pace models, the 24-inch cut blower can be purchased with
recoil or electric start.
Shuster said Crescent Avenue Gardens services what it sells, and employee longevity ensures customers “will see the same friendly faces, year after year.
“We’d like to thank all of the customers who voted for us in the 2015 Readers’ Choice,” she said. “We sincerely appreciate their loyalty.”
